March Scrap Our Stash Challenge

I like the idea to get some creative ideas from  Scrap Our Stash Challenge  when doing LO's. Right now I'm documenting digital usage, and here is my LO about digital fun things during February.

As we are forced into the digital world these times during Corona, I think it's important to document about that.

This Challenge was about follow the sketch and use washi tape.

I like surprises and to hide things on my LO, and did a flip up.
The flip up is just fastened by a washi tape.

And I am hiding the game I play every night on my ipad.

I have a lot of technical decorations from Ali Edwards story kit called "Tech"
so I used them on this LO.

Here is some documentation of the video clip we laughed to so much. (From a video meeting where one of the laywers couldn't get rid of the cat filter.)

The film strip is washi tape.

And the documentation is about how much time we spend on digitals during this Corona time, and how our managers wants us to go out in the nature.

Thanks for the visit!

Veckans skiss #302

CSI No 264

I am doing my PL-album and mix the photos with some LO. Now I have come to November 2017 in my album and wanted to make something of my playing interest (organ). As one of the theme in CSI (see link)  was about books, I chosed to write about the chorale (hymn) book (Swedish: psalm book).

Here is the LO, a mix of old things and new for example Maja design paper:

And here is the inspiration picture from CSI:

I chosed the traditional CSI, as it really help my fantasy to bloom, so here are the clues:

All colors

Evidence: text print, metal, animal, fabric (felt), jar, puffy stickers, ink the edges, lots of layers

Testimony: Write about book

Here are some closer views:

Animal of felt, a lot of layers.

Metal, text print, inked edges, lot of layers

Animal. I have added extra numbers and music washi tape - because the LO is about the chorale book that has one number per chorale.

Jar, puffy stickers, felt flower, documentation of the hymn book. Here I chosed my top 3 hymns from the book: 199, 122, 386. You can also see the calender with November, where I made 2 circles for the dates I was playing.

If I translate the journaling:
When I graduated from the cantor (organist) exam, we should be able to sing right away avista from the chorale book, so I and my friend Charlotte sang all 694 hymns out in the sunshine with a flute as help. Playing the organ to the chorales is the main music element i a church service. I have been a temporary employee for the German church (before 1999) and now in Rissne church, where there are many musical members, and sometimes you get comp from both bass and drums. I have played many instruments, but to play church organ is by far the most difficult thing!
I have many favorite psalms: the summer psalm: "The flower time now comes" (199), the advent psalm: "The day is coming" (122) and the baptismal psalm "Up of wild deep water" (386).

Veckans skiss #210

CSI challenge #253

The lovely weather in cold Sweden has made me be outside more than inside, scrapping. But of course I wanted to participate in CSI challenge 253 (see link)  because I wanted to write the story about howI started to do scrapbooking.

So here is my LO:

And I chosed to follow the traditional way of CSI challenge.
Here is the inspiration picture:

Colors: I used all
Evidence: Solid cardstock, die cuts, handcutting (turquose flowers), washi tape, leaves, paint, cirkles, metal
Testimony: Documented about my creative hobby, handwriting, word: beginnings

And som closer views with clues.
Evidence: Handcutted flowers, leaves, washi tape,

Evidence: Paint, circles, metal,

I like to do layers.

The testimony was handwritten and was about how I started scrapbooking. I first met a girl on a smaller stamp exhibition who invited me and a friend to a scrap meeting. I was creating cards by that time 2003, but really liked the scrap album idea and started after that. The same girl that invited me, I met later when I started to join scrap training for this girl (Therese). And I have participated in many! The only thing I found less good was that I could just use ONE photo per page, I wanted more. So when the Project Life came to my knowledge, I felt really "home" so I combine that with scrap book layouts. And nowadays I write more stories around the photo/photos.
I also love scrap meetings, and these photos are from a scrap meeting where we made mini albums at "Sirap-i-Paris", that unfortunately had to close their webshop/business just recently (in May 2018). The best event every year is the biggest scrap meeting in Sweden (1-2000 participants) that also includes exhibition of scrap booking, planner, knitting, pearls. This is what I look forward to every year.

Thanks for watching!

CSI no 252

What a perfect timing! I have just started to document the history of my different homes, and then this challenge from CSI came in with the perfect inspiration for me. See the link.
Here is my LO:

and here is the inspiration picture:

I followed the old style challenge with the different "glues".

The colors: almost all colors.
Evidence: stripes, dots, text pattern, washi tape, metal, hearts
Testimony: doocumentation about my home

Some closer views:

Washi tape, metal, heart, dots (I love the metal "tape thing")

heart, text pattern, dots, stripes

Finally the testimony about my home I grow up in:

The documentation is about what I feel most as my home, and that's where I grew up from 4 years age until I was19 years old , where my mother and father still lives. I told about the reason why I feel this as my home, the security feeling because our parents allways took care of us, and helped us when we had problems. I also told about that we came back to our home also when we moved away to new homes like the student apartment, how nice it was to come home in the weekends and feel safe and eat good food. And then when I got children I came back with them to my old home so they could get the same feeling that I grew up with.

Thanks for watching!

CSI Challenge No 250

A new case for CSI challenge and a new, happy childhood memory!

Here is my LO I created:

And the CSI challenge is linked here, and has this inspiration page:

I followed the old style with following clues:
Colors: all colors but I added yellow
Evidence: sold cardstock, clouds, sun, clock, labels, owl, bird, other animals (ladybirds),  puffy stickers, flowers, hand-drawn element, car, string, tied knot, stamping.

Testimony: A childhood memory

Closer View:
Here above you can see: handwritten flowers, 2 ladybirds (really summer for me), label with the year 1970, a lot of flowers that I cut out from pattern papper.

Here above you can see a cut owl I got from a friend.

Here above you can see: cloud, bird : puffy stickers, flower, sun

Here above you can see: my handwritten flower, flowers, clock, string, a tied knot (around the clocks upper part).

Here above you can see: some more red details (flowers and ladybird), stamping.

Here above you can see: car (our cousins had that kind of VW bus), a part of my testimony and stamping (remember).

The testimony is a long one about our fantastic summers. My aunt and mother really wanted us and our cousins to meet every summer in my grand parents summer house, and we had a lovely time. The routine to go there every year not just gave us the safe and caring feeling but also a deep friendship to our cousins that still holds. I wrote about what we did together and in the end I told the story about these 2 photos from 1970 (I was 4.5 years old, sitting in blue pyjamas beside my 5 years old coulsine). I remember this so clear, as we were not allowed to be there because it was bed time for us (in north of Sweden it still daylight until 0.00 in the night). We were so happy that nobody has discovered us (not true!!), sitting very quite and listen to my dad, an older cousine and my aunts husband.

After a while my mother and father started to dance, and I can still hear my grandmother laughing when she is taking these photos. What a clear, happy memory!

(Another puffy heart in the right teal color, binding together the 2 photos).

Veckans skiss #183

CSI no. 239

Hi, another CSI case (see link) I really wanted to do, to document the summer.

Here is my LO:

Here is the case:

I followed the sketch, and the colors in the scheme, and then I chosed the testimony topic: "summer" and inspiration word: "summer" in the journaling.
The evidence I used was:  Thin stripes, flowers, leaves, music elements, flamingo, pineapples, speech bubbles, wood, washi tape.

Here is some closer views of my evidence and in the end journaling:

Flamingo, music elements (guitarr and music notes), washi tape.

Flower, leaves, pineapple and wood.

Speech bubble, thin stripes, another flamingo, wood.

The journaling translated from Swedish to English:

"Summer 2017 - Spain
Every summer has so much expectations, but this summer felt so chill already before we went to Villajoyosa. What I remember most was the relaxing... in the sun chair, reading, no plans, just me, Patrik and Ylva...but then also Markus after Joel+friends went home. Good drinks - specially the Pina Colada in Moraira. Restaurants - Old town. Walking - along the beach in the morning. "

Thanks for watching!
