CSI challenge no 248

Hi, I wanted to use my Maja Design papers and saw that the colors in CSI challenge no 248 was perfect (see link). Here is my LO:

Here I have tried quite another style compare to what I normally do, but it's fun to vary.
I have followed the colors and the evidence: solid white background, floral pattern, hearts, butterflies. See some closer views:

And finally the testimony was close to "love",  I wrote about "lovely", how lovely this February weekend was. The time 14.30, is the time I was taking a photo every day in February.

On the back of the tag, I cut out the comments from Facebook - and 3 comments was "how lovely it seems to be".

Thanks for watching, and welcome to follow me on instagram gunilla_pysslar.

CSI challenge no 237

Hi, I have started to write and scrap stories about myself, and this photos are from 25 years ago when I was teaching piano as an extra job on my free time

As one of the testimony in this month's CSI challenge was about teaching (see link):
I thought the story about my teaching period (1990-1992) was perfect.

As the colors of my clothes and the background in the photos had a lot of turquoise, I could catch up the scheme-colors very easily. But even if I followed the colors of the scheme, I have most of the white color in the LO.

From the list of evidence I used: Grid pattern, stripes, triangles, eye glasses, labels, washi tape, school themed stuff.

From the testimony list I used both: "topic school" and "write the story in a little book".

-------------------------
Here are some closer views:

I started to stamp some music "things" on the background, and I also found the funny stamp-stickers in my boxes.

I also found a ruler-paper with grids on, and some other stickers (eyeglasses, pen, watch) and the text "playful" that had 2 meanings for me: the students played piano, but my lessons were meant to be very "playful" I mean that the lesson should be a pleasure for the kids (not a constraint).

Then in the bottom you can see a closer look of the music-washi-tape I really love and use a lot + puffy stickers and triangles.

I'm so happy that I finally could use my clear transparent paper with text that was perfect:
"It is a happy talent to know how to play.."
And then I just added the title "PIANO". (I love how this came out in my LO.)

But I also love the idea from CSI to write the story in a little book, I decided directly to plan for that - when I saw that testimony the very first time.
The black and white small letters you see under the photo of me "Lärare" is Swedish word for "Teacher". I like that the letters had a "school-look".

Here is the translation of my story:
-------
In the beginning of my job at KI (Karolinska Institute) I started to teach piano to a daughter of my colleague, and then it continued with more students and finally I had 15 students! The parents thought it was so good that I came home to them in "Hjorthagen", as they both saved time and energy. I had 2 students during 40 minutes and mixed theory and piano, and got 50 kr (5 dollar) per student. I became rich! After a while the parents decided that I should rise the price to 70 kr.  I was at their home about 17.00 and before during the days I was working with my ordinary job between 7.00-16.00. Not strange that I felt asleep standing on the subway sometimes. In the spring time we had concert for the parents and as one mother was priest we could have the concert in the church. This is from the very last concert we had.

CSI No. 236

Hi,
Time for a new case at CSI (see link).
I really wanted to document an adventure from last year in Austria.

Here is the LO:

And I followed this case:

I used the scheme (colors).
I used the evidence: stripes, polka dots, banner, wet medium, bird, animal, twine, buttons, gold.
I used 2 testimony:
"document an adventure" and
"hang your journaling from string"

-----
Here are some closer views how I solved this case:

Here you can see that I hanged journaling and banner from a string. You can see my bird (a hen that was walking around at the tables when we had lunch), and buttons.

I like this funny clothespin.

I had a lot of journaling as you can see.
On the bigger journaling I have documented about the tough trip up to the mountain in Austria. On the smaller tags that was hanging from the string I documented about why we went to Austria (my fathers 75-years birthday), and who I travelled with, when, and where.

And in the envelope I hided a map of the mountain and on the tag I pasted some other places that we visited during this journey.

Thanks for the look!

CSI no 235

Hi, today I made a LO with a lot of flowers (it was years ago the last time I did), inspirated of the CSI challenge 235 (see link):

Here is the challenge:

I followed the sketch and the colors. And the evidence I used were:
solid white cardstock background, polka dots, flowers, puffy stickers, bling, wet medium, something plastic, something transparent, eye glasses (see the pictures with a closer view).

The testimony was to write about my girlfriend, and inspiration word: together. (I have a translation below).

Closer views of my evidences:

You can see flowers, plastic and transparent text: "together", polka dots on a transparent grey/white piece of paper.

Flowers on the background paper from Maja design, transparent paper with green polka dots on, transparent stamped cookie (as we were having coffe and cookie on the photo) and bling on the top of the cookie.

Here are more transparent wellumpaper ("today") with flowers on and the eye glasses on plastic paper and bling.

On this picture you also see green puffy stickers, bling, transparent paper with the date (wellum).

And finally my journaling where you see the wellum transparent paper with the stamps: fint besök = nice visit. You can also see my wet medium that is distress oxid that I mixed up with water (really funny to play with).

Here is the translation of the journaling:

Nice visit
Every year I have summer visit from my child hood girl friend Monica. Before I got kids we met often other times during the year, and sometimes with more girlfriend joining like Titti. But the years go on, sometime a friend disappear but might come back later when life will change. Monica has always been good in keeping contact. I like her positive attitude.  She likes to talk in phone, but I am not so interested of that because of my job that contains a lot of phone calls. This year she came around 1 August and that is the "girl friend day". We shopped and had "fika" (= coffee and cookie) in Barkarby outlet, we went out on a bar and we had sightseeing on the "Halwylska Palace", a museum created of a strong woman.

CSI no 234

I love summer, and in this LO I present a summer "getaway" called Oringen, that is a 5 days orienteering competition for the whole family. The CSI challenge for July was perfect, see the presentation on the link

My LO:

And the CSI no 234 case:

I used the colors.
I used this evidence: Checker pattern, trees, flowers, transportation, animals, something transparent, dashed lines, triangles, plus signs

Here are some closer views on the details:
Transportation (bike), animals, flowers, checker pattern

More animals and you can see my "competitor number" that I used on my clothes all 5 days.
In the bottom of the LO I had papers with plus signs (in gold) and ta turquoise paper with triangles.

A tree and a piece of the map I was using on the competition. The squares you see with orange and white triangles is the "controls" you search for in the nature at orienteering. (see photo below):

Transparent (text: getaway), dashed line, animal, and here you can see the part of my journaling on the turquoise PL-card "Life",

Here is also a pocket with checker pattern and in the pocket I put my competition results, and the 4 best experiences from the week on a list (one of the testimony things).

I used three points from the testimony list:
1. Write in the form of a list (see the picture with the list of 4 facts above),
2. Then I used the testimony: Document a summer getaway
3. And finally in this journaling I used both the words "go" and "nature".

Here is the translation of my getaway journaling:

"Summer getaway - Oringen (Oringen=name of the competition)
A typical summer getaway is the 5-days orienteering every summer - last week in July. To go or run in the nature and at the same time use the brain to focus finding right way on the map, so you don't go too much "getaway" and get lost. A better relax you cannot get and at the same time it's for every ages. The whole family from sister Ylva participated and we shared a house with some youths. After a day orienteering we took the bike home, we washed shoes, hanged around, took a tour somewhere, shopped food,  went through the track on the map with the other. Lunch was something you had at the competition arena. I rent a bike from a private person found on Face book (sell page), maybe it was a little bit too small so it was hard to go up hills. On the evening we had owned cooked dinner in the families it will say, Ylva, myself , Ida and Lukas and then the youths went away (they were 8 in our cottage) so we adults stayed at home and relaxed. Competition day 1 and 2 was in the Swedish mountains - magic! The weather varied between sun to rain and even snow, but why bother when you have so fun and are in such a beautiful nature? This is life!!"

And finally a closer view on my collage photo from these days:

CSI Challenge No 232

Hi, here is a fantastic memory from last summer: orienteering in the Swedish mountains. That is really an outdoor moment so this CSI challenge 232 was important for me to do. I followed a sketch from "Veckans skiss #159" in Sweden on this LO.
Here is the LO I did:

The sketch I followed from "Veckans Skiss 159":

Here is the CSI challenge:

I followed the CSI colors.
Here is the evidence: Woodgrain background, wood accents, mesh, animals, foliage, label, enamel dots.

The documentation is about outdoors:

Translated: A very fantastic orienteering in beautiful  Swedish mountain nature. Thanks to that I took it easy and really enjoyed the nature - I managed the 5 competitions perfect! Good and stable results every day and nice people to be with in my sister Ylvas orienteering club Järla. I could focus on orienteering and enjoy outdoors.

Some closer views:

The nice title is from "Scrapmatts" I won it on a CSI competition.

Enamel hearts (and a faked stitch on the PL-card)

Foliage and animals (butterflies) and labels.

Here some mesh from "Scrapmatts" and wood accents and labels.

Extra info: In orienteering you search for controls on a map:

CSI challenge No 231

Hi, a new case that was not so easy because it was colors I don't use so often, but I managed to use them all and feel satisfied with the result.

Here is my LO:

And here is how I solved it:

I used all the colors in the scheme and followed the sketch.

Then from the evidence I used:
White background, animals (see photo if that counts?), eyeglasses, speech bubbles, punctuation marks, starburst, stars, hearts, puffy stickers, stripes

The testimony: I wrote journals in speech bubbles, and I also wrote about my super power, in the journaling I also used the word: super and awesome.

So some closer views:

I used the punctuation marks " around the journaling, and then you can find other punctuation marks around the page (see the question mark below).

Last year (half the year) I answered 365 questions every day (see above), and here is the one for 30/5 that this LO is about. (You can see the question below:)

Then I wrote about every hobby in speech bubbles around the collage with photos, it's scrap booking, flute, dog and flowers:

Some puffy stickers : hearts and a red speech bubble is added also.

Closer view of my speech bubbles:

Here you can see the stars (both decorations and on the red paper) and the blue sticky puffer hearts plus the lovely transparant paper with red hearts - love this paper!

Thanks for watching!
