CSI no 243

Hi, so happy to have some time for doing December Daily album. And I decided to put a CSI-LO in the beginning of the album.

Here it is:

And here is the CSI case no 243 (see link)

And here is how I solved the case:

The scheme: I used all the colors.
The sketch: I followed the sketch.
The evidence: I used Christmas/winter elements, wood, silver, string, hang something, deer head, circular elements, glitter (see below):

Then the testimony, I has tucked my story inside something. I pasted a pocket behind the LO and there I put the journaling on a tag. The journaling is about how we start to celebrate Christmas by put up some decoration already in November.

CSI 242

Hi, I'm jus doing my foundations for December Daily album and got inspiration from CSI 242 extra twist.

Here is my LO:

And I was inspirated from this extra CSI case:

So I was inspired of the white, light style and the design.
I have stolen some details as: small paper with journaling, some round element, animal, gold and wood. The text : "thinking"  was inpiring me to write about "how I think and hoping that December will be for me" (see translation below).

Translation of my journaling, how I think of December to be: ""I hope for a time with piece and calm. Then I hope to get together with relatives and friends. I also would like to have time for baking and celebrate christmas traditions."

Material is from my mother, "Panduro", "Sirap i Paris" and "Ali Edwards December Daily kit".

December Calender in December Daily

Hi,
When I showed my page of a calender 2017 on Face Book I got positive reactions, and that made me so happy and a little bit proud so I will describe how I created it here.

Here is the page:

And here is how I created the cut file in Silhouette.
It's just squares and texts and a long very thin rectangle : as the line between "December 2017" and the days.

You don't need to have "double lined" squares as I have here, it is much simpler to do just simple lined squares - and will give the same result.

It was a little bit hard to get the distance similar every where, but a tip is to create one square and copy and paste it 6 extra times and put them in a row.
Then : mark these 7 sqares and choose "group" (right click - group), because it will be easier to copy and paste all 7 squares.

The font I used in the text is "Lucida Calligraphy".

The square around all is exaktly 6X8 inches, to fit my Ali Edward album for December Daily.

After cutting it out in the silhouette, I put it a 6X8 plastic pocket.
The small numbers in gold and the small puffy stickers I pasted directly on the plastic pocket. The 31 is in black numbers because the gold was finished. And there is also a meaning with the gold as it is 1st of Advent to 4th of Advent.

Below is the link to the file on dropbox, if you want to use my template.
Would be happy if you then can show your result to me?

Veckans Skiss #172

Vänstersidan i mitt mini-album,

Storytelling with Ali Edwards

I'm so inspirated! I have just started monthly story telling with Ali Edwards, and also joined her class of story telling for Project Life, really good! I have got so much inspiration and this "time-kit" was perfect for my PL for 2017, that is about taking one photo at a special time every day, and the alarm on the phone reminds me. To get variation I change the time every month.

In the PL-album I will start the year with this page:

And I included a pie chart of where I spend my time during the weekdays (Monday-Friday). Isn't that a little bit funny? (Maybe I should mention that I have an education as statistician).
I'm happy that the category "relax" has got such a lot of time!! (including: scrapping).

Here is another view:
I really like Ali's big watch in wood, but I wanted to repeat the wood and found a camera in my stuff. To repeat the turquoise color from the photo, I put in a dot from Ali's turquoise numbers I added to the kit.

On the next page (back of the first page above) I will use this LO (also with some stuff from Ali Edwards time kit).

In the journaling I write about why I do PL and also why and how I should use the different time points every month. It is a way to make it easier to get time doing PL.

Here below is another closer view, where I have used Ali's nice wood circle on text - that really fits into my journaling about making time for doing PL:

I really had to use the little "alarm clock"-stickers as a symbol of the alarm in my phone every day. In my job my colleagues now have learned that when my alarm is going they say "is it time for your daily photo now?".

CSI no. 239

Hi, another CSI case (see link) I really wanted to do, to document the summer.

Here is my LO:

Here is the case:

I followed the sketch, and the colors in the scheme, and then I chosed the testimony topic: "summer" and inspiration word: "summer" in the journaling.
The evidence I used was:  Thin stripes, flowers, leaves, music elements, flamingo, pineapples, speech bubbles, wood, washi tape.

Here is some closer views of my evidence and in the end journaling:

Flamingo, music elements (guitarr and music notes), washi tape.

Flower, leaves, pineapple and wood.

Speech bubble, thin stripes, another flamingo, wood.

The journaling translated from Swedish to English:

"Summer 2017 - Spain
Every summer has so much expectations, but this summer felt so chill already before we went to Villajoyosa. What I remember most was the relaxing... in the sun chair, reading, no plans, just me, Patrik and Ylva...but then also Markus after Joel+friends went home. Good drinks - specially the Pina Colada in Moraira. Restaurants - Old town. Walking - along the beach in the morning. "

Veckans SKiss #168

CSI challenge no 237 nr 2

Hi, we in the design team for Project Life in Norway decided to solve the CSI challenge with the same group photo of us. So here is my LO of the photo:

I followed the colors, and used the sketch, and the evidence: grid pattern, speech bubbles, washi tape, school stuff. The testimony was the inspiration word: group.

Here are some closer views of my evidence and a translate of the journaling in the end:

Speech bubbles.

School stuff (alarm clock).

Washi tape and grid pattern.

Translation of the journaling about group:
"So very funny to meet the whole group in the design team for Project Life in Norway. On the photo, that Bente-Heidis son took of us outside the school where we was, we see: Linda, Bente-Heidi, Elisabeth, Mona (in front), Marit and me.

and a closer photo from the LO (the team PL in Norway)
(What a good memory).

CSI No 238

Hi, I'm on a nice scrap meeting with the Project Life in Norway design team, here is my LO for CSI 238 that I made early in the morning today.

And here is the case no 238:

I followed the colors but I used gold as burnt orange (the color was similar I think). From the evidence I used: polka dots, animals, flowers, leaves, eye glasses (very small), string, light bulb (very small), book plates (I think?), enamel dots.
The testimony is both tuck my story inside something, and a september prompt : "what made today worthwile?".

Some closer views on my evidence:

Not sure if this is the same as book plates, but I have flowers, polkadots, light bulb.

Here is glasses and enamel dot.

Here are leaves.

And here is the string, animals and the testimony to hide the story:

And the testimony to answer a september prompt:

Here is the translation:
What made today worthwile?
So nice to go out on orienteering competition in the morning today. Although I ran in wrong direction it was so nice to get out in the nature. In the afternoon we had coffee and cookies with Jocke. Then on the evening we went to the fire-celebration (a Swedish tradition to celebrate spring 30 of April), together with Hasse and Maria. Nice to meet all neighbours in one place. The dog Billy was searching for food that people dropped.

Veckans Skiss #166

CSI challenge no 237

Hi, I have started to write and scrap stories about myself, and this photos are from 25 years ago when I was teaching piano as an extra job on my free time

As one of the testimony in this month's CSI challenge was about teaching (see link):
I thought the story about my teaching period (1990-1992) was perfect.

As the colors of my clothes and the background in the photos had a lot of turquoise, I could catch up the scheme-colors very easily. But even if I followed the colors of the scheme, I have most of the white color in the LO.

From the list of evidence I used: Grid pattern, stripes, triangles, eye glasses, labels, washi tape, school themed stuff.

From the testimony list I used both: "topic school" and "write the story in a little book".

-------------------------
Here are some closer views:

I started to stamp some music "things" on the background, and I also found the funny stamp-stickers in my boxes.

I also found a ruler-paper with grids on, and some other stickers (eyeglasses, pen, watch) and the text "playful" that had 2 meanings for me: the students played piano, but my lessons were meant to be very "playful" I mean that the lesson should be a pleasure for the kids (not a constraint).

Then in the bottom you can see a closer look of the music-washi-tape I really love and use a lot + puffy stickers and triangles.

I'm so happy that I finally could use my clear transparent paper with text that was perfect:
"It is a happy talent to know how to play.."
And then I just added the title "PIANO". (I love how this came out in my LO.)

But I also love the idea from CSI to write the story in a little book, I decided directly to plan for that - when I saw that testimony the very first time.
The black and white small letters you see under the photo of me "Lärare" is Swedish word for "Teacher". I like that the letters had a "school-look".

Here is the translation of my story:
-------
In the beginning of my job at KI (Karolinska Institute) I started to teach piano to a daughter of my colleague, and then it continued with more students and finally I had 15 students! The parents thought it was so good that I came home to them in "Hjorthagen", as they both saved time and energy. I had 2 students during 40 minutes and mixed theory and piano, and got 50 kr (5 dollar) per student. I became rich! After a while the parents decided that I should rise the price to 70 kr.  I was at their home about 17.00 and before during the days I was working with my ordinary job between 7.00-16.00. Not strange that I felt asleep standing on the subway sometimes. In the spring time we had concert for the parents and as one mother was priest we could have the concert in the church. This is from the very last concert we had.
